  • Power — 220 lumens / 140m beam / 8-hour runtime
  • Mid power — 120 lumens / 100m beam / 3.5-hour runtime
  • Low power — 20 lumens / 40m beam / 40-hour runtime
  • Blink — signalling mode

Energy Saving:

  • Power — 400 lumens / 180m beam / 7-hour runtime
  • Mid power — 170 lumens / 120m beam / 10-hour runtime
  • Low power — 20 lumens / 40m beam / 60-hour runtime

Colour Light Modes:

  • Red — night vision preservation and position signalling
  • Green — wildlife observation and waterside use with minimal animal disturbance
  • Blue — liquid and surface detection in low-light conditions

ENDLESS BENEFITS:

  • Red, green and blue colour LEDs — three dedicated colour modes for specialist hunting, fishing and wildlife use; green for approaching game and waterside observation with minimal disturbance; blue for spotting water and wet surfaces; red for night vision preservation.
  • Dual Power Source — rechargeable 1,550mAh Li-ion battery charges via Magnetic Charge System USB-A cable; AA alkaline 1.5V or AA NiMH 1.2V accepted as a direct alternative.
  • 600 lumens boost / 200-metre beam — Boost mode for maximum-impact short bursts; Constant Light for stable output; Energy Saving for extended runtime up to 60 hours at low power.
  • Innovative mounting system — lamp head detaches and clips to clothing and gear for hands-free non-headband use.
  • Advanced Focus System with Rapid Focus — one-handed beam adjustment from flood to focused 200-metre spot.
  • Smart Light Technology — programmable brightness profiles via the front switch.
  • Cooling Technology — thermal management for sustained high-output use.
  • Transport Lock — prevents accidental activation during storage and carry.
  • IP54 rated and 2-metre drop tested — water spray resistant for outdoor use.

FAQs

What is each colour mode on the MH8 used for in hunting and fishing?

Green is the most practically useful colour mode for hunting and waterside fishing — it is less visible to many animals than white or red light, allowing closer approach to game and less disturbance to fish and wildlife at the water's edge. Red preserves night vision — maintaining natural dark adaptation during long hours after dark without the pupil adjustment required after white light exposure. Blue enhances visibility of water surfaces, wet ground and certain surfaces in low-light conditions, useful for navigation around water and spotting terrain features in the dark.

What is the difference between the MH8 and the HF6R RGB?

Both offer RGB colour modes and similar output levels, but the HF6R RGB is a current generation product with significantly more advanced features: Adaptive Light Beam for automatic brightness and focus adjustment, Digital Advanced Focus System for precise manual control, IP67 higher water resistance (vs IP54 on the MH8), a 2,400mAh battery with longer runtimes and a more refined optical system. The MH8 offers the MH Series' distinctive detachable clip mount system; the HF6R RGB offers a technically superior specification for serious outdoor use. If the clip mount is not a priority, the HF6R RGB is the more capable long-term investment.

What is the difference between the MH8 and MH7?

The MH8 and MH7 are identical in every specification except colour modes. The MH8 adds green and blue LEDs alongside red; the MH7 has red only. If green and blue colour modes are relevant to your outdoor activities — particularly fishing, wildlife observation and hunting approaches — the MH8 is the correct choice. If red-only is sufficient, the MH7 provides the same performance.
