Product Specifications

LIGHT MODE RANGE

  • Boost — 750 lumens
  • Power — 550 lumens / 3.5-hour runtime
  • Low power — 5 lumens / 200-hour runtime (ML6 WL / Connect WL) or 70-hour runtime (ML6 Cool White)
  • Blink, Pulse, S.O.S., Strobe — signalling and emergency modes
  • Red light — night vision preservation and reading mode

ENDLESS BENEFITS:

  • Micro Prism Technology — efficient, glare-free area illumination across the full LED array; comfortable for sustained close-range use in tents and campsites.
  • 750 lumens / seven light modes — Boost, Power, Mid Power, Low Power, Blink, Pulse, S.O.S. and Strobe; dimming function across the full output range; red reading light mode for night vision preservation on all variants.
  • Power bank function — USB output for charging smartphones, cameras and other devices directly from the lantern battery; reduces the number of separate charging devices required on a trip.
  • Three mounting options — rubber hook for hanging from tent loops and overhead fixings; integrated magnet for attachment to any ferrous metal surface; removable stand with integrated metal hook for table, ground and extended mounting options.
  • Fluorescent elements — the lantern glows in the dark when switched off, making it locatable without a secondary light source inside a dark tent.
  • Battery and charge indicators — battery level indicator, charge indicator and low battery warning; always know remaining runtime before heading out.
  • Transport lock — prevents accidental activation during storage and carry.
  • Smart Light Technology (ML6 Cool White) — programmable light profiles via the front switch for customised mode sequences.
  • Bluetooth Connect App + remote wristband (ML6 Connect WL only) — wireless control and personalisation of brightness, mode sequences and light profiles at distance; control multiple lanterns simultaneously from a single device.
  • Replaceable battery (ML6 Connect WL only) — the 18650 battery is user-replaceable on the Connect WL variant; carry a spare for extended trips.

FAQs

Can the ML6 charge my phone while also being used as a lantern?

Yes. The ML6 can function as a lantern and power bank simultaneously — providing light whilst charging a connected device via the USB output port. The 3,200mAh battery capacity is sufficient to provide a meaningful partial charge to most modern smartphones whilst still powering the lantern. For extended off-grid use where both lighting and device charging are required across multiple days, managing the ML6's brightness mode will help balance remaining battery capacity between both functions.

What is the difference between white light and warm white on the ML6?

White light (3700K - 4200K) produces a bright, neutral output suited to task-focused use such as cooking, reading maps, site work and any activity where accurate colour perception and maximum brightness are the priority. Warm white (2500K - 3000K) produces a softer, amber-toned output closer to traditional incandescent light, better suited to relaxed evening use, social camping situations and any setting where a harsh bright light would be unwelcome. Both versions deliver the same maximum 750 lumen output and identical feature sets so the choice is purely about the quality and character of the light.

What does the Bluetooth version of the ML6 include?

The Bluetooth version of the ML6 includes a wireless remote control wristband that allows you to adjust brightness, switch modes and control the lantern without physically touching it, useful when the ML6 is mounted out of easy reach, hanging overhead in a tent or positioned across a campsite. The Bluetooth version is available in warm white only. Full details of the remote control wristband are available on the Bluetooth remote control product page.

How long does the ML6 battery last?

The ML6 delivers up to 70 hours of runtime at 20 lumens in low-power mode, this is sufficient for extended camping trips and multi-day outdoor use. At standard brightness (550 lumens) runtime is approximately 4 hours, with boost mode (750 lumens) providing a short 15 second burst of maximum output. For overnight tent lighting, low-power mode provides comfortable ambient illumination across a full night from a single charge. The battery charge indicator keeps remaining capacity visible at all times.

Is the ML6 waterproof?

The ML6 carries an IP54 rating, confirming protection against water spray from any direction and dust ingress. It is suitable for use in rain and damp outdoor conditions but is not rated for submersion. It should not be dropped into water or used in sustained heavy downpours without shelter. For use in particularly wet environments, a waterproof storage bag or shelter is recommended as an additional precaution.

What does the fluorescent element do?

The ML6 features fluorescent elements that absorb ambient light and glow in the dark when the lantern is switched off, making it easy to locate in a dark tent, bag or vehicle without needing to turn on another light source to find it. This is a small but genuinely practical feature for anyone who has spent time fumbling for a lantern in a dark tent at 3am.
