FAQs

Can I use rechargeable batteries in the C7 Classic?

Yes. The C7 Classic is compatible with AAA NiMH 1.2V rechargeable batteries, which are widely available from supermarkets and electronics retailers. The torch itself does not have a built-in charging system — rechargeable AAA batteries will need to be charged in a separate external AAA battery charger before being placed in the torch. For regular users, this is a practical and economical alternative to disposable alkaline cells that reduces both ongoing cost and battery waste over time.

What is the difference between the C7 Classic and the C7R Classic?

The C7 uses 4 × AAA alkaline batteries and is not rechargeable within the torch itself — it is the always-ready, no-charging-required option in the C-Series. The C7R is a rechargeable model with a 2,500mAh Li-ion battery, 1,000 lumens output, 40-hour low-power runtime, Floating Charge System, Smart Light Technology and CR123 backup battery compatibility. Choose the C7 for higher-output battery-powered use and glove-compatible control; choose the C7R for rechargeable convenience, maximum runtime and programmable light profiles.

Why does the C7 Classic have a larger switch?

The oversized end-cap switch on the C7 Classic is specifically designed for easier operation when wearing gloves — a practical consideration for outdoor use, construction environments and cold-weather activities where fine motor control is reduced. This makes it the most glove-compatible model in the C-Series.

What does the Signal Cone 37mm accessory do?

The Signal Cone 37mm (item 0040) attaches to the head of the C7 Classic and diffuses the focused beam into a broad, visible area warning light — converting the torch into a practical safety signal device for roadside use, site safety marking and emergency situations. It is sold separately and is compatible with the C7 Classic's 37mm head diameter.
