As a battery-powered torch, the C7 Classic runs on widely available AAA alkaline batteries - always ready without requiring charging infrastructure. For regular users who want to reduce ongoing battery costs and environmental impact, standard AAA NiMH rechargeable batteries are fully compatible with the C7 Classic; they will need to be charged in a separate external charger rather than within the torch itself, but otherwise provide identical performance at lower running cost.
