Product Specifications

LIGHT MODE RANGE

  • Power — 2,000 lumens / 60m beam / 2-hour runtime
  • Mid power — 1,000 lumens / 50m beam / 4-hour runtime
  • Low power — 200 lumens / 20m beam / 20-hour runtime

ENDLESS BENEFITS:

  • Hybrid Power — battery and mains — rechargeable 4,700mAh Li-ion battery for portable use; mains power input for unlimited continuous operation at fixed locations; switch between both without interrupting work.
  • 5-step tunable white light — 3,000K to 6,500K — adjust from warm white for ambient work to cool daylight for inspection and colour-critical tasks; five colour temperature steps with memory function to retain preferred settings.
  • Multi-Concentrated Light Technology — efficient, directed illumination with reduced peripheral glare; maximises useful light on the working surface rather than scattering into surrounding areas.
  • 2,000 lumens / 60-metre beam — five brightness levels from 200 lumens (20-hour runtime) to 2,000 lumens (2-hour runtime).
  • IP67 rated and 1.5-metre drop tested — full dust protection and water resistance for site and outdoor use.
  • Cooling Technology — active cooling for sustained high-output operation without thermal throttling.
  • Bluetooth-ready — compatible with the Controller for Area Lights (item 503018, sold separately) for remote brightness and colour temperature adjustment.

FAQs

What is Hybrid Power and how does it work on the AF4R Work?

Hybrid Power allows the AF4R Work to operate on two independent power sources — the built-in 4,700mAh rechargeable battery for fully portable, mains-free use, and a mains power connection via the included power adapter for continuous operation at fixed locations. Both can be used without interrupting the light — switching to mains automatically when the adapter is connected, and reverting to battery when disconnected. This makes the AF4R Work equally practical as a mobile work light on a construction site and a fixed workshop light plugged permanently into the wall.

What is tunable white light and why does it matter for professional use?

Tunable white light allows the AF4R Work's colour temperature to be adjusted across five steps from 3,000K (warm white) to 6,500K (cool daylight). For painters, the cooler daylight setting shows colour accuracy more clearly during application and finishing. For electricians and engineers, warmer or cooler temperatures can reduce glare and eye fatigue during sustained inspection work. The memory function retains the preferred setting between uses, so the light returns to the correct colour temperature each time without manual readjustment.

What is the difference between the AF4R Work and the AF8R Work?

The AF8R Work delivers 4,000 lumens — double the AF4R's 2,000 lumens — with a larger 95-metre beam reach, in a physically larger 275mm × 179mm format at 1,870g vs 1,370g. Both share the same Hybrid Power system, 5-step tunable white, Multi-Concentrated Light Technology, IP67 rating and Bluetooth-ready connectivity. The AF4R is the compact professional option suited to smaller worksites, workshops and mobile tradespeople; the AF8R is the mid-range choice for larger sites and more demanding illumination requirements.

Can the AF4R Work be mounted on a tripod?

Yes. The AF4R Work is compatible with the Ledlenser Tripod 3m (item 503212, sold separately), which adjusts from 1 to 3 metres in height and supports up to 7kg — well within the AF4R's 1,370g weight. Tripod mounting elevates the floodlight above the working area for wide-area site illumination without direct glare at eye level. The Extension Cable 5m (item 503016) extends the reach of the mains connection when the tripod is positioned away from the nearest power point.

What does the Controller for Area Lights add to the AF4R Work?

The separately available Controller for Area Lights (item 503018) connects to the AF4R Work via Bluetooth and allows remote adjustment of brightness levels and colour temperature from a smartphone or the controller device. This is particularly useful when the floodlight is positioned at height on a tripod, across a work site, or in a location where physically approaching the light would interrupt workflow. Remote control capability extends the practical versatility of the AF4R Work in professional deployment scenarios.
